Driven by built-like-a-brick-house Pilium electronics and fed via an MSB digital playback stack, Magico’s range-topping A5 aluminium monoliths delivered a delicate mix of thorough detail, natural dynamics, and a low-end with the depth and wallop of much larger floorstanders. Founder Alon Wolf himself treated me to an electronica track that floored me. Immediately afterwards, the intricacies and sheer weight of a well-recorded piano piece left me without doubt I was hearing some of the best sound at the show.
